Note, this peak is probably called Garofalo. On the latest Lepini map (6) and the IGM Series 25 it is spelled Garalalo, though positioned correctly in my judgement, but I suspect this might be a misreading from the original cursive.
Just over halfway between Cori and Rocca Massima there are a series of gated entrances, I think for designated hunting sectors. For this peak we parked near here, and went through the gate and up the gravel track that zigzags up it from the south. Pass through another couple of gates, ducked under the barbed wire fence beyond the wells, to get to summit. Crocuses, dandelion, buttercup underfoot. Plus a white plant that looks from the leaves and stem that it should be related to the bluebell. Possibly called squill. Descending we climbed a more westerly path to avoid entering the closed off area. This follow the fence down and around, and ended in some thick undergrowth that it was just possible to make it through to reach road.
