"Starting the approach from Val Veny and going down to Entreves (1300 m), we did a +2100m to reach the Torino hut. On summit day we spent 4 additional hours negotiating the crevasse filled Vallee Blanche before finding our way towards the Cosmiques side. After the summit, I twisted my ankle jumping over a crevasse on the steep slopes of Tacul... All this made for a 17-hour long summit day. Good thing there is a lift going down from Torino hut and this was the last mountain of my trip, concluding one month in the Alps with 8 new fourthousanders in the bag! " — Christos • Aug 18, 2020
"Russian group from National University of Science and Technology “MISIS”, led by famous Russian alpinist Andrey Mariev, made the summit during acclimatization before the MontBlanc.
That was the first successful ascent after few days of bad weather in Chamonix. We went thru virgin snow sometimes deeper than 50cm. We were the only group who made the summit near Chamonix that day.

"HELL on Earth!
got caught in a snowstorm for 26 hours, with fog, very strong winds, snow, and gigantic temperature drop. I'm not sure about the exact day but it's close enough" — tonyup • Jul 25, 2000
