Highlights
- Crown jewel day hike of the Gaspe Peninsula... do an amazing loop over the vast summit plateau and through rugged above-treeline terrain
- Walk the boardwalk across an incredible 20 square km flat summit bog with some of the last remaining caribou in southern Quebec
- Due to protecting these caribou, the true summit (the south summit) is not publicly accessible (peakery counts a summit if you make it to the observation hut near the north summit).

"Crown jewel day hike of the Gaspe Peninsula... do an amazing loop over the vast summit plateau and through Western-style terrain... it's hard to believe that this place is East Coast. " — scott • Sep 3, 2005
"I was on a Maritime cyclr trip from Quebec city to Nova Scotia. Cut through middle of Gaspe from Mt St Anne to the baie of Chaleur. I was surprised to see the flat topped table mountains. From the highwayi saw a trail for Mt Albert. This was a great hike. Did not see cariboo at the top. There is supposed to be a herd. 4 hours up and 3 down. " — andrewbrintnell • Jul 16, 1979
"I was On a solo East coast bicycle trip from Levi’s Quebec to Cape Breton. I travelled the south shore of the St Lawerence along highway 132. It was great travelling along the St. LAWRENCE. At St. Anne des Monts I rode south into the Chic Chocs Mountains. I was impressed with the flat topped Mountains to the south. I found a trail east of the mountain that I followed to the summit of Mont Albert Nord. at 1070 metres. I hid my bike and hiked up to the top. It was amazing at the top with a huge expanse of sub alpine area. Saw a heard of caribou in distance " — andrewbrintnell1 • Jul 16, 1979
