Started out at 6:30 AM and headed up the Skyline Trail. Since I have been on the trail before, I already knew that it would be a long and mostly uninteresting climb up a dirt road. Since my last visit, Peakery.com added two new peaks along the trail. This was my chance to not only revisit, but to check off the other two peaks along the way. I headed up the trail with a head of steam and did not stop until I reached Peak 3020 (about 6 miles in). I paused on the summit for a few minutes next to the building that looks like a teed up golf ball. I closed out the climb by going another mile or so to Mine II Benchmark. The summit is flat and has good views. I managed to find the benchmark as well, which confirmed that I was at the right place. Mine II Benchmark was my turnaround point, so I headed back down the road from there, where I visited Peak 2694 before heading back to where I parked.
