A NH Fire Tower Quest day. Parked at the closed gate and walked up the road, checking out the various interesting sites along the way (will want to camp out here some time). Noticed the recently reconstructed stairs and platforms of the tower as some have previously mentioned. Terrific views on this nearly clear day with some leaves starting to turn. Took a couple of ski trails on the way down for a change of scenery.
