"The Quick and Dirty Trail Report: Trails: 19 Mile Brook Trail, Carter Dome Trail, Carter-Moriah Trail, North Carter Trail, Imp Trail, Camp Dodge Bushwhack, Road Walk Parking: about 6-8 cars when we started and one left when we returned Trails clear up to about 3700 feet. Thin monorail for the remainder of the hike with soft snow off the monorail. Trails were streams on the way down after 3300 feet. Water crossings: The trails were streams on the Imp Trail, but other than that only one or two small crossings. Nothing major. Dogs…none Traction: Bare boot and then Spikes from 3700…co" - shay-shay, May 7, 2017
"The last mountain of the day with AMC Boston. The summit is always difficult to locate on this one. Somebody finished there NH48 on this hike. We celebrated with the gauntlet. After this mountain, we went down North Carter Tr to Imp Tr, and met up with the leader that turned around at the Dodge Camp where she drove us to our cars. Great day to meet new people and be out on the mountains." - newenglandwarrior, Mar 26, 2016
"I needed Middle and South Carter to nearly finish my 3rd loop. Parked the car at 19 Mile Brook, road walked down to Camp Dodge, then hooked up to Imp Tr to North Carter Tr to Carter Moriah Tr to the summit. Didn't stay long since there was a lot of clouds and kind of windy. " - newenglandwarrior, Feb 7, 2016
"Warmer than normal for a January day in the Whites, although the summits were fogged in and cold. Some glimpses of the sun, but an overall cloudy day. http://www.trimbleoutdoors.com/ViewTrip/3159213 " - markst-john, Jan 9, 2016
"4K number five of WCM Traverse. Spikes were useful coming down from South Carter into the col, but after that I tried to hop from dirt spot to dirt spot to avoid wearing down my micros. I saw a few people out, all of whom appeared to be really enjoying the day. " - npweeks, Dec 12, 2015
