"Just east of the intersection of State Street and Cactus Valley Road in Hemet is Santa Fe Street. It is an easy to miss street which runs parallel to Mica Butte. I turned right on Santa Fe Street and drove about a half mile before taking a dirt road to get closer to Mica Butte. After parking on the side of the dirt road, I kept following the dirt road along the base of Mica Butte while walking north. The road eventually climbs up the slope and connects with a use trail that elevates to the ridge. The steepness lessens once on the ridge. A use trail continues south on the ridge all the way to the rocky high point. A small class 2 move was necessary to climb the summit boulders. After appreciating the views, I kept moving south instead of returning the way I came. I eventually descended on a steep motorcycle track down to the floor of the canyon, forming a true loop hike." — MikeTeeples • Nov 22, 2020
