I am an economic geographer working at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow Poland. I love mountains and I am an addicted peakbagger :-). I love walking, skiing (alpine and nordic), biking, climbing and running ultramarathons - with a distant and maybe unrealistic goal to finish one day TOR des Geants - which is a race around the Aosta Valley in Italian Alps which is 350km+ long with 27 000 meters of vertical gain. My special passion are maps - my collection exceeds 12 000 different contemporary maps I wish my peaks collection would be as large one. My favourite mountains are Polish Beskid Żywiecki - where I have grown up, the Tatra Mountains and the Pyrenees. As regards peakbagging my main goal is to summit every peak in Poland with prominence of 50 m (it is less than 1000 peaks, but I am still far from finishing, somewhere in the middle I guess). less
