I hiked up the mountain from Truchas Lake, a short but very steep hike/scramble. This off trail route involves climbing up a steep slope with loose rock to a low saddle. From the saddle I hiked/scrambled up the ridgeline to Medio. Hiked to Middle Truchas then returned the same way.
