I backpacked up the Andy Creek trail (#1110) to the junction with the Ironstone Mountain trail (#1141), about 2.5 miles, and stayed at a very nice campsite overnight. Hiked up McNeil Peak the next day which was about 3.5 miles one way from my campsite. The trail is about 3 miles along the Ironstone Mountain trail and then a half mile rock scramble to the top. It was cloudy the day I summited but on a clear day there would be a great 360 degree view.
