"Fun route . The descent off CA to rose tower/magic mtn was quite exposed and interesting. I took a picture of the line. Also I moved the register on magic mountain to its proper location on top of the summit block" — joshortman • Feb 11, 2023
"It was hot and exposed to the sun, first 90 degree day of the summer. I didn't make it probably mostly from the heat, but also the fact that I had a big hike yesterday, North Peak, which I killed it. So exhaustion may have also played a part. Regardless, I will be back." — hollycechvala • Mar 26, 2022
"This is a moderate route for hikers with some real experience. You should be comfortable climbing, and with a bit of exposure. Definitely plan for more than 4 hours. There were 3 ropes, 2 up, 1 down. There's also a spot for another if you bring your own on the down climb, which isn't a bad idea. We had one, and used it. Descent can be a bit tricky to find, and the sandstone is slick. When you come down from the summit, you go left, then head down the gully. It's on the back side. The down climb just beyond the summit is very loose, so be careful. There's a couple cairns marking the descent, but not very obvious. I should have brought more than 3L of water. Great views, including the canyon walls on the back side." — sammy1185 • Sep 12, 2020
"Led a hiking group up here via the loose path to the saddle just south of the peak. First, we went to Crabby Appleton, then we scrambled over to Magic Mountain, then back down to Rose Tower. Gotta love the cool temps today, but the wind made that ramp on Crabby a little dicey!" — Kevin • May 25, 2012
