"As I crested the low, steep summit of Locust Knob, I scared up a red tail hawk who soared away majestically, screaming hawkish accusations. There are pleasant views at the peak. The climb is precipitous, thorny, and muddy. It follows an electric line easement sharply up from the Westmoreland Heritage rail trail. Not sure if this is public land, but it's not posted. A weird chore called me to this area earlier today, so I decided to bag an unclaimed peak while there.
