"3:03:51 to the top. 1030m of ascent in total. 8 miles. 6:11:23 total time.
Bethania car park which was almost full when I arrived. Started on the Watkin path, cut across to the South ridge to the summit, then down the Watkin path. The first section of the Watkin path requires great caution due to the steepness and loose rocks. " — JohnJones • Jun 16, 2025

Started at the Rhyd Ddu carpark (£6 all day, and good toilets) walked to the South ridge, then to Yr Wyddfa summit, then descended via the Rhyd Ddu path. Good clear weather, and very quiet, only saw a hand full of other people on the ascent. Great route, lovely day. " — JohnJones • May 19, 2025

"Whilst staying at H F Guest House, Craflwyn Hall, near Beddgelert. Solo. After ascending Snowdon I descended the SW ridge (Bwlch Main) passing several people going up but far, far fewer than were going up from Pen-y-Pass. I went over a minor top before descending the S ridge to reach Bwlch Cwm Llan. There were only a few people here. I scrambled up to the top of Yr Aran. A couple were also making the ascent of Yr Aran, the only people I saw on this hill. I continued to Craig Wen, descending to Craflwyn Hall." — peter43 • May 13, 2017
