"Went with a friend (the same one from the Montecito attempt). I chose an easier hike that we'd definitely finish this time! Went to Paradise Falls after and saw a kid, encouraged by his Dad, jump from a rock into the water. Thankfully he didn't get injured, but it did look dangerous." — oskar156 • Apr 19, 2026
"Early day at work, so I stopped by for a quick trail run before heading home.
The trail was "closed", but there were plenty of people. Only thing I noticed was that some parts were muddy. Plenty of frogs too! Couldnt see them, but theyre really loud." — oskar156 • Jan 7, 2026
"Did a grand loop hike of Wildwood Regional Park in Thousand Oaks. To begin, I visited Paradise Falls. Afterwards, I continued on the lower stretch of the loop before climbing to Lizard Rock and Peak 847. On the upper part of the loop, I crossed over Mountclef Ridge. I respected a no trespassing sign right before the summit (however, if the US Border was in between me and the mountain top, and I was a Russian illegal, it would have been perfectly fine to cross the boundary). I continued on to Clu Hill and Mount Clef. I got within about 50 feet of the top of Mount Clef, the summit was choked off by formidable prickly pear cactus colonies. Afterwards, I finished off the loop." — MikeTeeples • Feb 24, 2024
