As Tom Lopez writes, this is the premier peak of the Danskins. It is impressive to see, isolated, requires a long approach from any direction, has a steep final grade, and has great views from the top. Those looking for a straightforward hike should do the ATV trail all the way to the base (the route I descended). Those looking for a great scenic ridge walk, with lots of up and down, should start from the top of Devils Hole Peak. I did half & half since I didn't really have a good map of the area in my head. The road coming in from Mountain Home is a bit cruddy and there are still active streams digging out new divots, and I had to cross several small runoffs as I hiked. Would recommend doing in cooler temperatures and sunny weather; the views are truly worth the climb.
