Another one of those mountains near my school that I'm not sure why I hadn't summitted. It's a steep climb up the country road, but wildflowers and views of Poor Mountain and Twelve O'Clock Knob gave it a wilderness feel. The peak is amazing, though. Yes, there is a tower, but there is vast backcountry beyond and a peak through the trees of Fort Lewis Mountain. This would be an impressive spot for views in the winter.
