"Today completed my Winter Wainwrights Challenge - 214 hills to be completed within the winter months, December 21st to March 20. Managed it with 20 days spare despite the many interruptions by builders, family, work, weather, etc." — johnandsue4fun • Feb 27, 2023
"Having ascended Scafell Pike with members of my family three of us deviated on the descent to include Lingmell. We went to both tops. The finger of rock on the north top does look as though it might be higher than the south top. We rejoined the standard route back to the National Trust car park just beyond the head of Wast Water." — peter43 • Aug 12, 2017
"Headed up the crest of Lingmell to the second false summit where we stopped for lunch. After lunch realised that the time was after 2pm and we still had a long day ahead of us. So despite being in sight of the summit, we decided to leave it and head to Lingmell col instead to ascend Scafell Pike. " — NorthernWayfarer • Jun 4, 2017
"From the Wasdale campsite, via Lingmell Gill, descending to the valley again via Mickledore. With IB and TM. Took the wrong descent off Scafell Pike, correcting with compass work. Rain and hill-fog most of the day, clearing to sunshine later." — marktrengove2 • Jul 18, 1998
"Ascended in the course of running the Lake District Mountain Trial. From Wasdale Head to Yewbarrow, Red Pike, Pillar, Robinson’s Cairn, Black Sail Youth Hostel, saddle between Nape’s Ridge and Westmorland Crag, Great End and Lingmell." — peter43 • Sep 11, 1960
