Ladyface Mountain was the first of three summits on the day. After finding the obscure parking area (essentially it's parking on the shoulder of Kanan Road), I hit the use trail, which climbs steeply right away. The pathway goes along the ridge line for the most part, yielding great views every step of the way. At about 3/4 of the way up, the trail goes straight into a class 4 climb at one of the false summits. I found three hikers there confused about where to go next. They asked for advice, so I suggested taking the faint use trial that goes to the left. They wouldn't do it, so they wished me luck. I plowed through the slightly overgrown route (fortunately I wore my long pants), and eventually made it to a Class 3 high point with a pole sticking out of it. I climbed it, only to find that the actual summit was further ahead. I quickly climbed down and pressed forward to the true summit. It was then that I was able to relax and simply enjoy the highest view of them all.

Ladyface is an impressive looking mountain plus a challenging and fun climb. This is the type of lower peak that would be a good addition to the LPC list, or replacing one of the others that really shouldn't be on the LPC List.
