"Today I go up to La Atalaya de Cieza by a path on the north slope that I located on the Peakery maps. Indeed I find the route that begins with a gentle slope but later becomes almost a vertical path with many climbs where you have to be careful. The views are really good of the city of Cieza and its fruit fields, also of the surrounding mountains.
I took lunch as usual and I enjoyed it in the tranquility of the summit where today I have not seen almost anyone because there was no sporting event on the mountain." — franciscobirruezo • Mar 26, 2023

"It's a good day today and I decided to go to the Atalaya de Cieza, I also set my feet on the Peaks of 563 m and 541 m.
This small mountain is an authentic rock fortress quite demanding. If you mess up, they'll have to rescue you in helicopter. A trail crushes lungs up the east side, first zig zag and then there is climbing a chimney. In the upper area a small forest joins the three peaks, sitting on a stone and in the shade I have eaten a sandwich to regain strength for the descent (remember that at the top you always have 50% of the route)
I think I have suffered less than the previous time in the month of September 2017" — franciscobirruezo • Apr 27, 2019

"Today I went alone to The Atalaya Peak in Cieza. The path starts at the Hermitage of Buen Suceso and made zig-zag at the beginning. Shortly after you enter in a rock chimney where you have to be careful. This stretch is long and arrive to a hill of pines. There is still one more climb to the top where the views are good.
I took advantage to go also to the nearby Peak 563." — franciscobirruezo • Sep 15, 2017
