One of the most memorable hikes I ever did. There were thick clouds and fog up to about 1300 metres... and then: sunshine with peaks sticking out of an infinite sea of clouds like little islands. The transition zone between those two also offered some beautiful impressions.
Got there by train, so we were able to walk from Geitau to Bayrischzell. Little snow on the path, and hardly any ice.
