"After hiking Stewart earlier, we arrived at the trailhead for Kipp. And like Stewart there was some snow left down low and then just a frozen and dry trail to the summit. A nice view of Loon Lake awaited us at the summit." — garyogden • Mar 22, 2024
"Kipp Mountain starts out easy then gets steep toward the top. Beautiful lookout over Loon Lake on a clear day. Also hiked with my sister. Liked it so much have done it a few times, 8/29/2021, 9/21/2021, 1/1/2022" — sarahlaustrup • Jan 1, 2022
"Nice short hike with a good view of Paradox Lake and a bit of Schroon Lake. Did Kipp then with nice views of Loon Lake. Finished with Stewart, also with nice views of Loon Lake. Total of 5.5 miles and little sweat with nice breaks between these short peaks!" — Retiredtop2004 • Jul 28, 2021
"Two short but nice local hikes near Chestertown. Meade was actually fairly steep & a nice little workout with views of Gore Mt.
& Loon Lake from two different vistas. Kipp was gradual on the way up & also had nice views of the lake. Both are part of the
Chestertown Challenge." — billsussdorff • Jul 18, 2019
"Our first HOT hike of the season. We spent the day exploring Stewart Mtn, Kipp Mtn and the Palmer Pond trails. <br><br>Kipp - easy, open trail with nice views and only a mile or so to the summit. <br><br>Stewart - another easy, open trail and less than a mile to the summit- the first part goes through some nice pines which smelled amazing in today's hot sun. The summit area has a few nice little ledges to enjoy the view of Look Lake.<br>" — deb-and-rob • Apr 16, 2016
