"The real difficulty of this peak is finding the route to it that isn't surrounded by private land! Was going to approach from the west as it looked by far the easiest way (looking from on high I am still pretty certain of this) but both entrances to the west side dirt road are blocked by private gates. I eventually found a dirt road going west right before The Other Road (which is seriously its name) and followed that to the peaks northeast side. This road does not appear on google maps or the topos however you can see the dirt road on google maps satellite image. The farther up the road you drive the more you run into rather washed out sections. I chose to walk.
In any case once you find the road the hike up the northeast side is without much difficulty. I took a scenic look the had me drop down the southeast side into the meadow which i followed back to the road. If you were to go up and back down the northeast side it is about a mile each way with a 1000 feet of gain. A short hike but enough to classify as a quick workout.
The real appeal of this particular peak is to quickly introduce yourself to the areas north of Chimney Peak and to the Domeland Wilderness to the west. ..." — Irrationalist • May 18, 2013
