"Great hike. It's mostly an uphill climb all the way there, but the terrain is easy for most of it. The upper part is a little more challenging. Spectacular views from the fire tower on the summit. I would have liked to stay longer. Hiking out was a cinch. Made really good time." — mikewilliamsjr • Jun 15, 2022
"Just a sparkling weather day. Trail is in excellent shape, no need for shoes. With clear skies, views at the summit were fantastic. Tower is clean and in great shape, thank you Rangers." — Alohabuffy • Mar 5, 2022
"Ed, Tom and I wanted to do a short hike after driving up. Nice dry trail, views from the tower were reduced a bit do to hazy skies. Snow covered Washington was a nice sight sticking above the cloud layer with bits of the other Presi peaks just showing. Cozy warm inside the cab wish we bought some more gear to stay overnight." — Nimblefoot • Oct 19, 2020
"I've wanted to come up here for some time. John loves it here, but since K. No. Tr. pkg was full we decided to go up the Weeks Brook Trail. John wasn't looking forward to it since it was somewhat unmaintained for so long. It wasn't too bad: hardly any blowdowns and the blazes could be refreshed some (it was hard to follow the trail in spots). Shingle Pond has a nice view of the mountain before you make the more serious climb to the top. I love the lookout tower here. Looks like a nice place to camp out! And amazing views all around." — SteveM_StickMan • Aug 31, 2020
"Had planned to do the Baldface Loop, but circumstances @ work made it impossible. Knowing Kearsarge had a tower on
it's summit made this alternative choice worth it. The tower reminded me of ones out west...not too tall & much bigger
around. Met a group on the way up who had stayed overnight in the tower...sounds like a return trip for me." — billsussdorff • Sep 14, 2018
"What a beautiful day in the mountains. Trail in great winter conditions, well packed and no ice. Clear blue skies and little or no wind, temps in the 30's. There may have been days as good as this but never better!!" — goshen-bagger • Feb 20, 2017
"GORGEOUS DAY with AMAZING views.....couldnt have beat the weather! Up & Down in 4 hours with a friend who doesn't hike....it was strenuous but rewarding with the most amazing 360 degree views!" — shay-shay • Oct 5, 2016
"started hike at 4:00 Am to get to summit for sunrise. Lots of ice on trail to do in the dark even with lights.
Still only 20 deg at summit. Real cold watching sunrise, then it started snowing." — Alohabuffy • Apr 5, 2015
"Did a quick morning hike up Kearsarge north...my first solo winter ascent. It wasn't without drama: Snow was pouring down and there were two different flashes of lightning. Then the snow flipped to sleet and it was generally a miserable hike back to the car with ice pellets stinging my face. " — grouseking • Jan 15, 2007
