I started on the trail at 0803 and took the short, but very steep Morse Canyon trail to the summit in less than 90 minutes, reaching the top at 0927. I stuck around to take in the incredible views from the grassy section of the summit and headed back down to summit Johnson Peak.

Johnson peak had no defined trail, so I bushwhacked, following a line of trampled old barbed wire fencing to the top. The sides of the peak are incredibly steep and cannot be climbed without equipment or crawling on all fours, but the barbed wire leads you up a somewhat manageable route. The peak had some views when you peak beyond the trees, but was very small.
