"Bert and I met Ron at Bow Lake and we did this scenic moderate scramble. We saw a mountain goat and some marmots. Views were outstanding. I am tired, but it was worth is once you're out of the bushwhack." — leigh-annewebster • Aug 11, 2023
"For Jimmy Junior, I took Nugara's suggested route which follows a drainage up from Bow Lake to a colourful tarn nestled below the summit. The scrambling was mostly right beside waterfalls which was fun, except for the first waterfall where the steep, hardpacked dirt was unpleasant and sketchy. I walked around the tarn and ascended more steep dirt slopes to the col between Mt Jimmy Simpson & Jimmy Jr. I checked out a few options for getting up the rock bands to the summit near the col, but the holds were loose and not to be trusted, so I traversed back around to the more easy direct route to the summit. If you are doing this summit, I recommend following the drainage up, and then taking the direct route from the tarn to the summit, rather than going via the col. On the way down there is a pretty good trail through the forest and back to Bow Lake." — geoffhardy • Aug 30, 2021
"8.3km return with 800m gain in 4:30hrs car-to-car.
Glad that summited, otherwise, pathetic and survival skiing. Above the treeline, just anywhere between wind slabs to frozen crust to thin ice. And whiteout with some snow on the way down. Couldn't wish for a "better" day :) " — alexp • Nov 26, 2018
"I gained the ridge from the backside, going up the dry creek to a waterfall. Went climbers right up steep slope with tons of loose rock. Then climbers right to go around some cliffs to a spot where you could climb up to gain the ridge. This would be the crux of the trip I was happy to be returning a different way down the east side of the ridge." — Randy • Jun 5, 2018
