A great day for a hike. With four inches of fresh heavy wet snow on the trail and the branches above heavy with snow, three friends and no dogs made their way to the pinnacle. Leaving from the beach parking lot we took the trail to the pinnacle. After summiting the short trail we decided to explore some of the many trails in the Lake George Regional Park. These trails look a bit different covered in snow and can be a bit hard to find when your the first to break trail. Fortunately I've spent a lot of time on these trails both on horseback and hiking. I led our tiny band of friends to "Big Rock" on the southern edge of the park and then to the boat landing. We then followed the road back to our car. Today was the first day of ice fishing on the lake for the season. There were many trucks parked all along the road. Total distance 3 miles. https://www.relive.cc/view/u3309113086
