Long hike from Santa Cruz and via the old goldmines on the way to the summit, then on to Boca Prins... Great day - loved the terrain, trails, scenery, hills, goats and sun! Of course the wind dropped today so really, really hot out there - grateful to have lots of water and to be wearing hiking socks and boots. I'm not sure the distances are accurately described. I am a seasoned long distance hiker and took longer than anticipated. The trails were all in good condition, not always clearly marked or in agreement with the park map! Made for an adventure :). Will add some pgotos when I get home.
