Nusa Tenggara Barat mountains

"2D1N hike from Sembalun. I didn’t record any data, just went with the flow of our guide. Distances vary but it’s around 15 miles RT if starting and returning from/to Sembalun. Hike is hot and humid with numerous scheduled stops including one for lunch. Summit day starts early followed by a return to the base of the mountain. Overnight in a tent on the crater rim. "Indonesia. We stayed on Gili Air a couple of days before going to Senaru village on mainland Lombok. The monsoon season started and we were not able to see the summit from the islands during the days before. "Beautiful mountain unfortunately ruined by tons of trash left everywhere by trekkers and porters. National park should really do something about this. "I think Rinjani is the most beautiful mountain in Indonesia (may be in the world). Don't forget to spent one or two nights camping at the Segara Anakan camping area. You can see the Gunung Barujari (the young mountain) better from here. You also can enjoying fishing in the lake, enjoying soak in the hot spring and the waterfall.
