Completed two more Catskill 3500 peaks today with Indian Head and Twin Mountains. It was another gorgeous day filled with bluebird skies, empty trails, fresh air, and the smell of trees. A crisp 29 degrees to start. Fall will always be my favorite time to hike. This morning I spent a lot of time thinking about my son Wyatt on this the 8 year anniversary of his Type 1 diabetes diagnosis and his strength which is more than physical, some tears were shed. This was another solo venture. The only one to push yourself is you alone, again something I reflected on today and looked back on through the years.
