"An awesome fall hike with Laura on a crisp day. Plenty of dogs and people on the trail. Repeat of trail I did to Katterskill High Peak. Easy up road to turn off. Then rolling hills out to lookout. Nice views of Hudson River, Ashokan Res., and Indian Head Mountain. " — lfrancois • Oct 8, 2022

"Ran out quick before Easter Breakfast and did another see how quick I can get there hikes. Amazing views of the Catskills and Hudson Valley.
(Disclaimer: The .gpx track is a combined track from two occasions where my GPS gliched out, the elevation profile is not accurate at all)" — Right-On • Apr 16, 2017
"After climbing Twin and Indian Head mountains I decided to finally visit Huckleberry mountain/point to fill in the afternoon. I have been to the viewpoint several times but never the summit. A short little whack from the trail before dropping down to the view to see the two peaks I did in the morning. Nice sun and blue sky peeking out of the cloud cover taunting me to hang out for awhile." — Nimblefoot • Feb 26, 2017

"Out and back to KHP from the Platte Clove Road Trailhead with a side trip to Huckleberry Point on the return. The snow was deep, but I only had to break trail at the unmaintained section from the snowmobile loop and then along the Huckleberry Point Trail (thanks snowmobiles for doing the grunt work for me today). The weather was warm and sunny in the morning, providing great views at Hurricane Ledge, but storm clouds rolled in over Platte Clove just as I made it to the Huckleberry Point overlook. I hiked the last 2.4 miles back to the car in a beautiful snow squall. " — wacbravo • Feb 15, 2017

"The road to get to the trailhead was quite scary once there the first mile is snow mobile trail and is enough of an ascent to get your heart beating. The last 1.5 miles on the yellow trail is up and down and a little steep in a few sections. The view was so worth every bit. We met 3 other people at the point and then lots of people coming up as we were going down. 5.4 miles and 2.5 hours, great hike will do again." — kathyrowney • Apr 30, 2016
