"Two hour drive from Ohio’s high point of Campbell Hill.
Hoosier Hill is the highest natural point in the U.S. state of Indiana with a claimed elevation of 1,257 feet above sea level. Hoosier Hill is in the rural area of Franklin Township, Wayne County to the northwest of Bethel.
Hoosier Hill sits on private property owned by Kim E. Goble. The high point sits in a forested area surrounded by farmland. In 2005, an Eagle Scout candidate named Kyle Cummings (Troop 820 from Lakeside Park, Kentucky), in cooperation with the property owner, built a trail, sign and picnic area at the high point.

"Finally got to this high point during my 2nd trip this year visiting scattered family members. Someone has taken the "Highest Point in Indiana" sign off the painted post near the road. Nicely engraved rock marking the spot. Highpointers club has made it a bit more interesting with the ever present mailbox (with neat info cards!) and bench. There are a number of herd paths through the woods from the nearby cornfields. Cleaned up the crap left by others. Eww." — SteveM_StickMan • Oct 16, 2022

"Had to be in Columbus for the weekend so we drove out to Campbell Hill and Hoosier Hill before the late flight home. Luckily had a beautiful clear day to enjoy the fall foliage along the way. There was a swarm of ladybugs here like nothing I have seen before. We were covered in them and so was the car, it was nuts." — jodola • Nov 7, 2021

"This was the last day of our epic road trip. My second visit to Hoosier Hill, Mom's first. State High Point #11 for her! I was last here in the summer (2019), so it was interesting to see it in a different season. We even passed some snow on the way to the high point! Our route approached from the opposite direction as last time, so I got to see more of the Indiana/Ohio border and all of the dairy farms. My only issue is that people are trashing the high point. I saw a used condom (wtf?), coca cola cans, plastic wrappers... why are people throwing their crap here? Who does this? Why? It makes me sad. " — psychikingjes • Dec 9, 2020

"This was the first summit for our 50 High point challenge. Have to start somewhere... Easy enough to find, parked on the gravel by a corn field, walked fought ya 160feet, tucked away in a pocket of trees. Signed registry and took a few pics, perfect Fall day. " — Cravins • Sep 26, 2020

"As part of a 16 or 17 state highpoint blitz of the Northeast this August while working remotely 8 hrs a day from various Starbucks.
After yesterday's 14.5 hr epic drive for Campbell Hill, OH and an epic 28 hr drive to get Timms Hill and Charles Mound a couple days ago...this morning was an easy 1.5 hr drive to Hoosier. Next up the remaining 12 state highpoints in the Northeast before heading west across upper Michigan and off to Borah Pk in Idaho." — alexjoseph • Aug 6, 2019

"State high points #21 (Campbell Hill, OH) and #22 (Hoosier Hill, IN) respectively for me! A long day with lots of driving. We started in Cleveland, OH, drove through Cuyahoga Valley National Park (saw Grapevine falls!), along portions of the Erie Canal, and then down and over to Campbell Hill and then across the border to Hoosier Hill. I did run up AND down the hill at Campbell Hill! That was exciting. No running at Hoosier Hill, it wasn't much of a walk from where you park to the high point itself. " — psychikingjes • Jul 6, 2019

"Stopped at this highpoint to check on the condition of the summit. I'm on a little highpoint journey revisiting a few of them again this summer on my way to Texas to visit family." — StoneMan • Jun 24, 2018

"We parked right at the trailhead. Maybe a 50 foot walk. Very pleasant grove of trees with a picnic table, benches, and a shockingly high quality marker. It's a wonderful, quiet wooded picnic area surrounded by cornfields." — SirNetwork • Apr 2, 2017

"After visiting Charles Mound in Illinois on Saturday I had to wait out a snow storm for a day then headed east to summit Hoosier Hill in Indiana and Campbell Hill in Ohio on Monday. I've been to these highpoints quite a few times before but always like to stop by and check on them to see if we can do any additional improvements there. I left Highpointers Club newsletters and brochures in the registers and went throught the logbooks to see how many people had visited during winter months. " — StoneMan • Feb 15, 2016
