"Loop hike in Black Rock Forest. Hitting some hills I haven’t done in awhile and a couple of new ones for me. Didn’t see many hikers but hit a lot of spider webs across the trails. Best view was off of Black Rock while the view at the end of Stillman was not spectacular." — Nimblefoot • Aug 11, 2022
"Got my wife out of our home office and in the fresh air for a fun romp in Black Rock Forest. It was a choice of either working on our taxes or going for a hike. She smartly chose the hike especially since it was her birthday. Nice sunny day with temps comfortable enough so we could forgo bundling up and allowed to proceed with a more stroll-like pace. I haven’t been on the summit of Black Rock in several years so it was a nice surprise to see the grand view of the Catskills. " — Nimblefoot • Apr 2, 2022
"Another lovely day in November with bright sun and temps hotting up into the 70’s. Getting in a loop of four peaks in Black Rock Forest before the wet weather returns tomorrow." — Nimblefoot • Nov 10, 2020
"Sharon and I headed to Black Rock Forest to hike some peaks before going up to Fishkill for a big Cider tasting. The cloudy sky improved to a wonderful blue with plenty of sunshine as the AM approached noon. Recent storms put plenty of water on the trails." — Nimblefoot • Sep 29, 2018
"Doing a short local hike with Sharon on a beautiful and warm(70's) day. Visiting Frog Hill, Black Rock, Honey Hill and Whitehorse mountain in Black Rock Forest. Short break on top of Honey Hill for a snack then stroll over to Whitehorse. So far we have only seen two groups of hikers on such a fine day." — Nimblefoot • Oct 7, 2017
"A short little spike hike in Black Rock Forest visiting Honey Hill. Black Rock and Frog Hill. Coolish temperature-wise compared to the 40's/50's and 60's just a few days ago. Wonderful blue sky but very few folks out and about." — Nimblefoot • Mar 5, 2017
"Loop hike of Whitehorse mountain, Hill of Pines, Rattlesnake Hill and Honey Hill on a beautiful sunny and breezy day. On my way to Honey Hill I passed about two dozen or so college students off on some hike.

"Visiting the summit of 6 out of the 7 peaks in Black Rock Forest on a cool day in the 30s. Honey Hill was peak #5 of the loop after bypassing Mount Misery which I didn't need for the month of December. I ascended by the newly marked Honey Hill trail which is a mix of old and new trail sections." — Nimblefoot • Dec 28, 2015
"Hiking a loop in Black Rock Forest hitting seven peaks. After descending Mt Misery I headed off White Oak road to the top of Honey Hill where I found a well used herd path traversing the peak." — Nimblefoot • May 13, 2015
