"the trailhead is very hard to find at first as you must pass through a pasture, on this day there were many hay bales scattered around. At the very back of the field, the last field before you come upon the Swanzey lake road, is the first blue blaze on a large tree. It is very over grown at first and then mellows and accends.follow the blues as it snakes around the hill to a nice mellow summit. On this day large turkey vultures gave us an amazing air show as the kept circling the top of the hill, floating and turning on the breeze for several minutes as we layed on the mossy ground and watched the show. You can take the yellow blazes down after you come to the second junction as you head back in north west direction, follow the trail that runs parallel to the blue blaze trail but down one level, you will eventually come back to the blue blaze path at the next junction." — mikezilla • Aug 25, 2011
