"Traverse from Gunnery-Holy Cross to Mt Head. Winter conditions but spring weather made for a beautiful day. It’s a challenging ridge when you have to stick to it due to avy danger/snow covering possible bypasses but it is doable. Expect 5th class for sure. In the summer it would be much easier and less post holing
I also linked up to sentinel pass" — Rocky Mountain Goats • Mar 16, 2024
"Great day out! The approach was surprisingly snowy. The NE ridge was mostly dry except for the final 100m, which was mountaineering conditions, including the exposed summit ridge. Bypassed summit ridge and class 4 crux cliff on descent." — yuri • Jan 7, 2023
"CSMC trip. Enjoyed the leisurely walk up the valley. Took the right ridge and explored some fun/moderate scramble. Fun ridge near the top. Blowing a gale on the summit and 4c. Descended through the Cross/gully on return and split the group in two. Back in just under 7 hrs. Cool to do this mountain, shame there was no snow on the cross however. "Did not get up incredibly early, but HAD to get out the the mountains despite the weather being frustrating. Managed to get up to the summit, and then down about a half hour before the thunderstorm started to grumble. Had a bit of grauple and rain, and then it cleared up for the walk out." — BertB • Jul 7, 2019

"via Gunnery Creek to NE ridge with J. Skvaril. Placed new register container and put 1991 paper from plastic bottle inside. Descended E ridge to avoid high winds on ascent ridge." — KrisT • Dec 14, 1997
