"A little trek to bag a few tors…. The weather was high winds and heavy rain, with occasional 0 visibility due to low cloud base (hence very few photos)…. But, we still managed to get to Row Tor, West Mill Tor, Yes Tor, High Willhays and Dinger Tor….." — chriscollings-UK • Aug 12, 2023

"Starting the day in tshirt and shorts heading up to Rowtor and then leaving Rowtor in full waterproofs was not the original plan but onwards across the target railway and up over West Mill Tor before following the track up to the high points of Yes Tor and High Willhays. No visibility at all whilst at Yes Tor but at High Willhays the sky parted and sun and far reaching views were uncovered. Couple more nearby bagged before heading down to Dinger Tor and following the military road back to Rowtor Car Park. 13.4km. Rain/Mist. Solo. " — MuchMoorWalking • Jul 30, 2022

"Myself and the Dartmoor wonderer (Steve) walked from Belstone to High Willhase. It was a cold, rainy, foggy day but we both had a lot of fun.

"Final checkpoint of the Ten Tors challenge of 2017 for the team after walking roughly 7km from Watern Tor. Good weather and from previous knowledge of Reaching it before it was very stress and navigation free." — harry-mcsherry24 • May 7, 2017

"From Meldon reservoir car park, climbed 400m peak directly south then headed on to climb Black Tor. Then cut across boggy marsh up to High Wilhays. Then on to Yes Tor and back to the reservoir." — vygodski • Apr 8, 2017

"My Bombardier Leadership course was carried out in Plymouth and around Dartmoor. I also spent a few weeks on Military excercise in and around the Moors. Okehampton was our basecamp, along with many other bivy areas around DTA (Dartmoor Training Area) spent many hours, both day and night, tabbing around Dartmoor in the cold and wet......it was ALWAYS cold and wet !!.
A beautiful area though, one day, I'd love to go back under my own guidance, and appreciate the moors in my own time. " — HikingViking • Apr 10, 1997
