Hot! Looks like summer has made it, no shade on this route and the bugs are out in force. Nice area with good views, and I skipped most of the elevation by driving. You could (and I saw a couple did) drive to the top in non-sedan vehicles. If you can get to where I parked, the rest is easy to drive, gentle rolling hills up until the final push to the summit.
