"Bear lake to Flattop to Hallet to Otis to Taylor peak and took the Andrew glacier cut through to get down past the loch. A little sketchy trail to go down a lot of loose rock but not to bad." — Kramo • Jul 2, 2022

"Most beautiful peak ever. From the break taking summit you can see glimpses of Longs, Flattop, and other prominent peaks. We even saw a big elk heard grazing in the snow. But be warned, this is not for the faint of heart. I believe its over 5 miles from the campsite (July) and is mostly off trail. " — Colorado14Queen • Aug 3, 2014

"Summited the peak for the second time with my wife, brother and two other people this past September. We had outstanding weather conditions and the views were simply stunning. Here are some more details and photos from the hike: http://www.rockymountainhikingtrails.com/hallett-peak.htm" — SmokyMountainHiker • Sep 9, 2012

"This was really the first big mountain my wife and I summitted. It's an incredibly beautiful hike - what would you expect for being in RMNP?! More than a mile from the summit we spotted an elk way off in the distance above us. First, it was a strange place to see an elk because it was all scree in this area. The elk was like a statue - it didn't seem to move for about 20 minutes - just staring at us, until we got closer and he finally moved away." — SmokyMountainHiker • Sep 10, 2002
