"Warm day, but trail is well shaded. Consistent slope, but not overly difficult. Fire Azaleas at the top were well worth the trip. Navigated Parsons Branch Road in a 2WD Rav4. It was possible as the stream crossings were all very low, but a high clearance vehicle would have avoided some tricky spots." — walterczekaj • Jun 23, 2024
"Gregory Bald is also one of two of my all time favorite hikes in the Smokies. The best time to go is in mid to late June when the flame azaleas are in full bloom. People from all over world come here to see them. Here's some more info on the hike with a lot of photos: http://www.hikinginthesmokys.com/gregory.htm" — SmokyMountainHiker • Jun 8, 2009
