Parked at Blackaton Cross car park and followed the track around the top edge of the china clay pits to the remains of Rook Tor and then the long slog up to Penn Beacon and Shell Top. Quick detour to Penn Moor Trig Point and then down to the Trowlesworthy tors via quite a bit of burnt moorland underfoot before retuning to the car. 9.2km. Sunny/Windy. Solo.
