Quite possibly the most overlooked and brilliant circuit in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Certainly, it has become one of my favorites. The views are beyond words, the biodiversity is every naturalist's dream, Appalachian ruins abound, and the course is tough, but manageable. Rock Castle Gorge has everything an adventurist could possibly want out of a hike/trail-run.
