"Visited BLM and Graham with Itty Bitty. 3 to 4 inches of fluff on the ground and another half inch falling from the sky quit hard at times almost blinding us. Bumped into Mike Catskill on our way down from Graham." — Nimblefoot • Dec 29, 2020
"Hitting BLM and Graham with my old buddy Itty Bitty, a 79 year old dynamo. A lovely day with low hanging clouds left over from an early AM rain, dampness everywhere and plenty of puddles for us to get our feet soaking wet despite efforts to dodge the worse ones." — Nimblefoot • Oct 28, 2020
"A new season and new reason to visit the summit of Doubletop and its neighbors Balsam Lake and Graham. After a casual jaunt up DT from Seager Tom, Mimi, Yong Ae and I relocated our cars to Mill Brook road PA for a jaunt up to the fire tower on BLM. We enjoyed our lunch at the picnic table in the sun replete with home made ginger tea thanks to Yong Ae. Finished our day with a side trip up to the communication ruins on the summit of Graham. The trees, shrubbery and various undergrowth are almost fully obscuring the view back to BLM, definitely need to use the cinder block viewing platforms." — Nimblefoot • Sep 22, 2020
"A quick out and back to DT from Seager then again to Graham from Millbrook road. Hillsounds on both hikes as there was a good crust on top of a broken track on both peaks. Saw no one on DT then on my way into Graham I met a father and young daughter returning to there car. One more peak, Panther, for my first and only single season winter 35 and triangle patch this year." — Nimblefoot • Feb 19, 2020
"Tom and I joined Christy for a sunrise romp of Balsam Lake mountain and Graham. A little nippy at our 5:30 am meet in the Millbrook Rd PA which kept us moving at a brisk pace but we didn’t quite make it to the top of BLM before the sun rose. We had to take our photos through the trees along the trail as the sun popped up over Graham. Climbed to the top landing of the tower to take in the views while enduring some wicked wind. Christy slowed down a bit on the climb to Graham, a direct result of not eating any breakfast that day. We hunkered down next to the old cinder block building to escape the wind while having some snacks and hot beverages. Graham completed my 35th round of the Cat35 and was my 1300th Cat35 peak that I know of. Back at the PA Christy headed off to her job at the Mohonk Preserve while Tom and I wanted additional peak(s), Bearpen and Vly for him and Halcott for me. A solo stroll to the canister where I signed into a fresh notebook then called it a day. " — Nimblefoot • Nov 14, 2019
"A speedy hike out to Graham to finish my 34th round of the Cat35. On top I met guy prepping to do an out & back whack to Doubletop before heading to Balsam Lake himself. Once back to the Dry Brook Ridge trail I motored up to BLM for the 35th time, my 28th peak to hit that milestone. A quick break that included finding and taking pics of the three benchmarks. Such a beautiful day with comfortable temps and blue sky that I hated to rush through it but I had an early afternoon obligation at home. Fall colors were showing nicely.

"Today Tom, Peter and I were joined by Anna, Christy, Yong Ae and Mimi. Another cool day so arm warmers, long sleeves and hoodies are making an appearance. First up is an out and back to the derelict cinder block building atop Graham. We pass friend/fellow gridder Ralph Ryndak and friend descending and heading for BLM. Ralph informs us that two of his friends and fellow gridders are the fire tower volunteers on BLM today. After a short break on Graham for the Ladies to do some internet shopping while taking in the view Mimi led a spirited return back to the Dry Brook Ridge trail. Up on BLM we are introduced to the volunteers Rob and Linda before we engage in our summit lunch of kimchi, dumplings and Korean pancakes complete with tablecloth, plates and chopsticks thanks to Yong Ae and Mimi. Afterwards we take our individual selfies for the Fire Tower challenge and some goofy group photos then finish our summit visit with a climb of the tower to take in the clear views. Another fine day with an early feel of fall." — Nimblefoot • Aug 25, 2019
"Hit the summits of Graham and Balsam Lake mts from Millbrook road then relocated to Johnson Hollow(Co Rt 3) to hike up Bearpen and Vly. Surprisingly I met very few other hikers on such a beautiful day." — Nimblefoot • Jul 13, 2019
"Tom, Peter and I did a nice stroll from Burnham Hollow road to Millbrook road visiting the five summits of Fir, BI, DT, Graham and BLM. By the time we hit the old cinder block building on top of Graham we were glad to leave the bushwhacking behind and enjoy some trail hiking to finish the day. On Fir we bumped into Mark P. another early finisher of the Catskill All Trails Challenge. He joined us for the hike over to Big Indian then headed right on the P-W trail for Eagle while turned left to head toward Doubletop. Graham completed my 31st round of the Catskill 35." — Nimblefoot • Jun 8, 2019
"Joined Tom, Emma and Peter for a loop hike of Balsam Lake and Graham on a calm but brisk morning. Only 2* on the temp gauge in the car when I reached the Seager PA at 7:30. For the route to Graham we found an old track mostly filled in with recent snow so we broke it to the summit. Along the way Tom startled a Spuce grouse buried in the snow right in the herd path. It took flight right at his feet, not sure who was more spooked with Tom letting out a scream as the bird flew off. After a quick visit to the summit ruins we dropped back down the herd path a quarter mile then plunge down to the Seager PA. Lunch in the warmth of our cars then drive over to the hairpin curve on Rt 47 to visit Giant Ledge and Panther." — Nimblefoot • Mar 7, 2019
