"We bushwhacked to the summit from Weston Road in Hancock. Bearing of 343 degrees, but had to navigate around a steep, rocky section. Beautiful and unique way up this little-known peak with great views toward Monadnock and the Wapack Range. Black flies plentiful, but not unbearable. " — dianenewbury • May 3, 2020
"I tried really hard to find this summit at the last red blaze where the field of fern begins. I went south, s/w, and s/e...I just couldn't find it. There was a sign at the beginning of the Goodhue Hill Trail that said they were going to do work on that upper part this summer so hikers can find the summit. I guess they didn't do it yet." — jjr1956 • Jul 22, 2015
"Mill pond trail to summit Goodhue hill. The summit area has been recently cleared and is a serious mess at the summit.. The top is barren with views in almost all directions. The trail up was littered with blue, pink and orange ribbons hanging off almost every tree. Many, or most trees had blue painted letters on them along with the red blaze. Too much Imo. Trail needs some work. I was under the impression it was concervation land (?) " — mikezilla • Nov 17, 2012
"Another quick hike before work today. A moderate but steady slope up to the summit. At the wooded peak there was just enough of a clearing to offer (slightly obstructed) views of North Pack, Pack & Grand Monadnock mountains. There was also a good view of Bald Mountain from the Mill Pond Trail at the base of Goodhue Hill. " — VonSelmer • Jul 31, 2011
