"Starting at unmarked parking area on FS71. Trail follows old woods roads, snowmobile/horse trails. Mostly unmarked, but easy to follow. There are 3 water crossings, one 50ft from your car the another less than 1/4 mile in. Both were boots off for me in late October. May be better in dryer months. Third crossing is about 1 mile in. Was able to rock hop this one. Map shows intersection with long trail when you reach the ridge. The snowmobile doesn't intersect there, but runs parallel. Bushwack 100-200 feet and you'll find the LT" — Twodawgs • Oct 21, 2020

"Went in from Glastenbury Road, southeast of Arlington. Whacked up the northwest shoulder of West Glastenbury, then contoured over to the West Ridge Trail. Extremely steep going up the 'Lilly Direct' (northwest) route. Hiking partner Jim Spinner took two falls off this northwest shoulder, one of which was a 15 foot slide headfirst. (no injuries) 9.5 miles, 3400 feet ascent." — jameshopson • Apr 10, 2014

"I hiked the AT from CT into VT in '13. I can't recall dates, so just putting one. Well, I started breaking them up, however I think anyone who reads this will know I didn't do them all in one day...." — kristib • Jun 18, 2013
