Approached from the south. Hadn't meant to climb this but realised it wasn't too much of a detour, returning from Crugyn Llwyd. Turned out to be more arduous than anticipated. Had originally intended to pass to the left of the forest, but headed east to the forest edge and made way up through public footpath. I think the trees have been cut and replanted since the map was made, or maybe I am just a rubbish map reader, but it didn't really correspond. Made way up a swampy forest track, then finding the right FB and then again detouring to the summit through the conifers (seeing the rear end of what I think can only have been an owl I disturbed). Then down the northside and, knackered, up the hill on the other side, finding a track and returning to the car parked by the Celtpower buildings.
