"A bit of wading thru above the knee snow but otherwise an okay crust; higher up approaching the ridge and on final ascent, encountered small isolated patches too icy to kick step with my trail runners. Winter wonderland started at 1750m though the snow is melting fast on lower slopes. Later in the winter snowshoes and spikes will be a consideration. Helicopters and SAR flagging are a sombre reminder that search parties are still looking for hiker Jordan Naterer who went missing in the area earlier this month." — Margaret-Li • Oct 31, 2020

"Left the parking lot mid-morning and made it to the Frosty Creek Camp a couple hours later where we set up. The first stretch of the trail is mostly tree-covered, and the campsite itself is quite lovely. There's a shelter, bear caches, and an outhouse here, along with a creek we used for water. We heard that this creek can dry up, but fortunately it was still flowing for us. Set out around 8a.m. the next morning for the peak, and summited a few hours later. The final push up the ridge was quite grueling, lots of boulder climbing and quite exposed, but the views were stunning, and slow and steady got us through. Return trip was much quicker, but we had to be careful with loose rocks rolling out from under us on our descent. Once off the ridge the going was much quicker, and especially so from the camp site back down to the parking lot. All in all, a fantastic trip." — steinea • Aug 1, 2015

"Left Mission Friday afternoon with Henri proce, hiked up from lightning trail to a flat area at 6900 feet just above tree line. The sky was grey with high cloud, It was a cool night. From camp the next morning we gained the east ridge and scrambled up to the top. The way down we glissaded, down the steep north slope. A nice relaxing 2 day venture." — andrewbrintnell1 • Jul 19, 1986
