Finally, I made it up the challenging, steep Fort Lewis Mountain in Havens Wildlife Management. Although it's literally in my school's backyard, its hunted on all days but Sundays. So...I've just never gone up. It's a beast and I went up the "easy" way. Just a shade under 2,800 feet of climbing. Speaking of shade, there wasn't much as I hiked/ran in the middle of a 92-degree day. It was brutal, but the wildflowers were in full effect.
