Ridge to Lewiston Peak

"My third son, Samuel, joined our ranks this time around. We drove up the 4x4 road this time to the saddle below Lewiston. Started on the trail at 7:20 AM. We got rained on quite a bit, but the boys were much more energetic this time. The trails are really not maintained at all. We lost the trail many times up and down. We summitted Lewiston at 10:00 AM and then made it to the Flat Top peak at 11:00 AM. We had lunch up there (like last time). We were able to make it back to the car by 1:30 PM -- much quicker than last time. Driving to the saddle made a huge difference. Driving back down, I hit " - adam-michaelson, Jul 27, 2012
"I went with my good friend, Brian Hansen, my two oldest sons (Joshua - 9, and Daniel - 8), and my dog Cody. We camped on a Friday night in Ophir canyon on the banks of the river. The next morning we hit the trail at 7:15 AM and walked up the 4x4 road to the saddle. Approaching the saddle below Lewiston, Josh collapsed and began to cry. I told him that we could go back and no one would think less of him. "But", I said, "if you decide to keep going, I'll be right behind you all the way."
