"Back to clean up unfinished business from a few weeks ago. Bluebird and warm start to the long weekend. I left the snowshoes in the car and didn't need them as its dry to the summit. Just stunning views 360 degrees with tons of snow still in the mountains. Cornices still on Raspberry Ridge. One car in parking lot and never saw a soul. 1 hr up and 40 min down." — alexjoseph • May 16, 2020
"Stephan didn't feel like ice climbing, so I gave him some hiking/scrambling options on the South Highwood. He didn't want a huge elevation gain or long day, so this was perfect. It also offered some hands-on scrambling, which was a bit more interesting than a grassy knoll hike. He invited Jake and Bert opted to come along too, so we met Bert at the 22/22x and the four of us drove down in crappy weather on shitty roads to Longview and then west. Well, when we got to Etherington Creek the sky opened up and we had views! And we got treated to an inversion, which was cool. It was a good workout and the views were fantastic. The snowmobile trail made for some light postholing, but it was better than putting on snowshoes we figured. The ridge was almost completely dry and the rock was dry and grippy. Everyone enjoyed themselves and not too much complaining happened!" — leigh-annewebster • Nov 9, 2019
