I unexpectedly had the day off because of the passing of President Bush, so decided to go for a hike. I had been up in these peaks before, but had not been to the highpoint. This time, I went up south gully directly from Northshore Road, near Redstone. I went to the highpoint first, then made my way across a steep, limestone ridge to Basin View. This was a short, but very enjoyable hike. Basin View Peak was the harder climb & nicer peak. Great views from both. Some scrambling & lots of loose rock! Trip stats are for for both peaks. (Man, the pics I uploaded to Peakery really lost a lot of color...not sure what happened there)
