Spent a lot of time over the years trying to figure out a way to get up this mountain. The obvious routes are fronted by private property, and there is very little information from previous visitors. So as is usually the case I would only drive past it when going through Wrightwood. After studying it on Google Earth, my plan of attack was to park at a large gravel turnout before crossing the Sheep Creek Bridge. From there, I crossed the Sheep Creek Wash and started heading up the slope. There were some use trails that gave guidance, but mostly I aimed for the ridge. No bushwhacking was necessary on the route. I eventually intersected a dirt road which I followed most of the way to the highpoint. I had the mountain to myself, but could clearly hear the weekend music blaring in Wrightwood down below when at the summit.
